HARTLEPOOL picked up a vital point in their quest to steer clear of the relegation zone, while Sutton ended a run of three consecutive defeats.
It might have been different but for a terrific performance from Hartlepool goalkeeper Scott Loach, whose string of saves ensured Josh Hawkes’ goal for the visitors – their only ontarget shot of the game –was enough to earn a point.
