■ GATESHEADrounded off a grueling week with a gutsy three points in what has been a bad period on the road for Eastleigh.
It was Gateshead’s first home game since the bombshell on Monday that the club was to be put up for sale. The response from the players has been firstclass and manager Steve Watson was delighted with a first win in nine games.
“Given the miles and minutes we’ve put in this week this was a great effort and an important three points”, said Watson.
“We were down to 16 fit players and controlled the ball well.
