MARINE have swooped to sign former Lancaster City captain Craig Carney on a one-year contract.
The 25-year-old creative midfielder was Lancaster’s leading scorer last season with 12 goals and has been a key target for Mariners boss Tommy Lawson.
The Appley Bridge based player returned to Giant Axe last summer after a spell at Stockport County, and has also had spells at Kendal Town, Bamber Bridge, Northwich Victoria and Squires Gate.
