LONG-serving Paul Smith quit as manager of Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Premier Division outfit Walshamle- Willows just days before the start of the new season.
A former Sudbury town striker, Smith took charge of the Summer Road club in 2000 when they were playing at grassroots level, and five years later led them to their current league.
