STEVE WATSON hailed Gates head’s defensive resolve after they dug in to inflict Ebbsfleet’s fourth home defeat of the season.
A first-half Chris Bush own goal settled this one in front of the BT Sport cameras as Heed climbed to eighth.
Fleet have now gone three games without a win but Watson was beaming after seeing his side bounce back from a home loss to Harrogate.
