STONES TRIBUTE TO BOSS BLADES

UNITED Counties League outfit Blackstones are to hold a memorial day in honour of their former manager Steve Blades, who turned out for local rivals Stamford in an FA Vase final.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 21, when Birstall United Social will visit for a Division One game. Steve, who died on June 18 at the age of 58, also managed another local side, Bourne Town.
His family will be travelling from Chester for the game.
