DAVE TARPEY’S eighth goal of the season proved enough to end Woking’s three-game losing run in a nervy affair.
Having lost 6-2 at Sutton United on New Year’s Day, a tense but deserved win over Chorley saw the Cards move up to ninth, while the Magpies remain rooted to the bottom – eight points from safety.
Woking assistant manager Martin Tyler told The NLP: “It’s an important win, but only important in getting us back on track again.”
