THIS ultimately, hardearned victory lifted Chesterfield out of the National League bottom four, while a 14th game without a win surely leaves Chorley staring into the relegation abyss.
Goals either side of the break from Tom Denton and full-back Jordan Cropper looked like handing a comfortable victory for John Pemberton’s Spireites, but Connor Hall’s late goal back for Chorley ensured a tense finale.
