DODDS IN AT WOOD

BOREHAM Wood have announced that former Watford and Reading Academy manager David Dodds will be Luke Garrard’s new assistant. It was confirmed this week that Vic Akers would be standing down from the role after two seasons at Meadow Park.
The 74-year-old announced his intention to leave after Wood’s play-off semi-final defeat at Harrogate.
While at Watford, Dodds formed a close partnership with Wood chairman Danny Hunter. A club restructure saw him move to Reading, where healthy relationship was built.
