UNLUCKY HOLMES SITS OUT SECOND SEASON

DARLINGTON will support winger Jamie Holmes through the mental and physical strain of recovering from a second season-ending injury.
The former Newcastle United academy star spent the majority of last season on the sidelines after a cruciate ligament injury against North East rivals Gateshead in the opening week.
Holmes fought his way back to fitness in time to take his place in Darlington squad for the new season - but his hopes of making an impact have been dashed by a reoccurrence of the same injury in a training game against the Heed last week...
