FA Cup boom brings vital club boost
THE FA Cup shocks continued to flow last weekend with a total of 14 of our clubs reaching the second round proper.
After nine made it through last Saturday another five joined them. Havant & Waterlooville squuezed past Cray Valley PM, Solihull Moors upset Scunthorpe United, Barnet claimed the scalp of Burton Albion and there was a famous win for Chorley, who came from two goals behind to beat former FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic.
The weekend culminated with Oxford City’s win over Northampton Town on Monday evening.
