AMBITIOUS DOWNTON ON THE UP

DOWNTON are spending the pandemic lay-off by raising money to run their own clubhouse for the first time in their 115- year history.
The Wessex Division One village side needs to raise £20,000 – but Sport England have said they will provide £6,000 -f the club can find the rest.
Accordingly, a crowdfunding appeal has been set up, and has raised around £3000 so far.
Based near Salisbury, Downtown have experienced phenomenal growth in recent times.
