Boss James Rowe has snapped up midfielder Jack Clarke, 22, who impressed on loan from Aston Villa last season.

Scottish winger Calvin Miller, 23, has arrived from Harrogate Town via a loan spell at , turning out for the Magpies against Chesterfield in the play-offs.

The Spireites have also swooped for right-back Jeff King, 25, following his departure from FC Halifax. He was named in the National League Team of the Year after his impressive displays for the Shaymen.
