FORMER fans favourite Grant Basey has been appointed as the new interim manager of Isthmian Premier side Cray Wanderers.
He replaces Danny Kedwell, who left the club earlier this week and has since joined Chatham Town as a player.
Basey, the former Charlton Athletic, Barnet, Peterborough United and Wycombe Wanderers man, had a memorable spell as a Wands player between 2015-17 and has since been involved with Charlton as kit man and development coach.
Player/boss Kedwell left on Monday with the club second bottom of the table.
