AFC TELFORD United have kicked off 2022 with a bang and a bright new dawn after significant investment from a wealthy local businessman.

Walter Gleeson, 55, co-founder of second-hand electronic purchase and sale site Music- Magpie, worth over £200 million, has joined the National League North club’s board as a director after purchasing remaining unallocated shares.
Gleeson said: “When I was approached to see if I could support AFC Telford United it didn’t take me long, after meeting the board to see how well it was operating, to want to help in any way I could.”
