CHESTERFIELD returned to the top of the National League despite being held to a goalless draw by battling Aldershot Town at the Technique Stadium.
The Spireites were boosted by new signing Joe Quigley starting as well as Laurence Maguire, Joe Rowley and Tom Denton returning to the matchday squad after long lay offs.
Proceedings were dominated by James Rowe’s side, but they could not find a way past a stubborn Shots defence.
