Flying Stockport County head into Good Friday in imperious form as they travel to play-off chasing Grimsby.
County missed out on the FA Trophy final two weeks ago, but in the league they have won nine straight and will hope to make that ten at Blundell Park, with the hosts themselves having only lost one out of their last six.
The Mariners have a little buffer above the teams below the play-off places, with both Dagenham and Boreham Wood stuttering, but after a surprise draw with second bottom Weymouth last weekend, they will be hoping to get back to winning ways.
Wrexham are the team tasked with keeping Stockport honest at the top of the National, but a win for their opponents Solihull Moors would bring them level on points with the Dragons.
Victory will not prove easy for the Welsh club as no one has beaten the Moors in the league since January 8, but to keep themselves in the hunt at the very top of the division, Solihull couldn’t have been given a tougher Easter, as they also head to Stockport on Monday.
The team with their fingers crossed for a draw at the Racecourse is Halifax, they travel to Altrincham knowing that were they to win and Wrexham drop points then they would jump up to 2nd.
However, Altrincham will be no pushovers as despite them not having much to play for, they have won five of their last six to move themselves well clear of the drop.
King’s Lynn have been resurgent in recent weeks, winning two and drawing two of their last four to give them a chance of survival, but they will be up against it to keep that run alive at Meadow Lane.
Notts County could make themselves very comfortable in the play-offs with a win, but with time running out for the Linnets to make up the five points to Aldershot, a win could be a must.
Aldershot themselves will travel to Somerset to take on Yeovil, who have drawn both of their games since Darren Sarll departed to manage Woking.
Boreham Wood have been on a rotten run since facing Everton in the FA Cup fifth round, having picked up just three points in the eight matches since, and will be hoping to revive their play-off hopes against Dover, who know a win would take them on to zero points.
Dagenham and Redbridge are also stuttering on the edge of the top seven, with just two wins in six and they host 17th placed Barnet in a London derby to try and turn things around.
Torquay may have left it too late to have a dash for the play-offs, but four wins in five has them just seven points off Grimsby and adding a sixth win in the shape of Woking would make their hopes that little bit bigger.
Weymouth are eleven points from safety with only twenty four left to be picked up and they will hope to start collecting some of those on their trip to 16th place Maidenhead.
Someone’s poor form will have to go as Eastleigh host Bromley, with just one win between the pair in their last six matches in the league.
Southend and Wealdstone are another pair of teams desperately out of form who face each other on Friday, with the Shrimpers having lost their last four and Wealdstone having failed to win any of their last five.
