A SECOND-HALF winner from Liam Mandeville ensured Chesterfield began their home campaign off with victory over gritty Aldershot Town, who made them work every step of the way.
Mandeville coolly rounded Shots keeper Luca Ashby-Hammond for the only goal on 64 minutes – afinish which would have been applauded by his Spireites teammate Kabongo Tshimanga, who made an emotional return to action after fracturing his leg and dislocating his ankle back in February.
