GATESHEAD picked up their first win in this one-sided battle between the champions of the National League North and South divisions.
The Tynesiders blew the Stones away, scoring twice in both halves – the visitors from Kent fortunate not to fall to a heavier defeat.
Paul Blackett scored twice in the first half and somehow did not walk away with the match ball after going close several times after the break.
