No deal may end in Iron points deficit

Scunthorpe United are said to be ‘at risk of entering administration’ after a proposed takeover deal collapsed this week.

STRUGGLING Scunthorpe United are said to be ‘at risk of entering administration’ after a proposed takeover deal collapsed this week.
The National League newcomers have been searching for a buyer for the last few months with owner Peter Swann looking to sell his majority stake in the club following relegation out of the Football League last season.
Swann assured Iron fans that a potential takeover deal was in the pipeline but admitted last week that it had fallen through due to the potentoal buyers in question failing to prove the necessary funds.
