TEN-MAN Southend United held firm with a resilient defensive display to secure a first win on the road this season at Wealdstone.
A composed second-half penalty from Marcus Dackers proved to be the difference between the two sides at Grosvenor Vale.
But they had to play out the final 19 minutes with ten men after Gus Scott-Morriss was sent off for a second yellow card.
