GEORGE Broadbent’s early strike gave Boreham Wood some play-off daylight, while all but shutting out hope of Wealdstone joining the party.
Broadbent struck a fine half-volley in off the woodwork as Wood secured a 1-0 victory to stay sixth in the table, four points clear of the cut-off point.
“It was great to get the win,” delighted Wood boss Luke Garrard told The NLP. “We were excellent in the first half and it was a great finish by Broadbent.
