WOKING managed to consolidate their play-off place, despite a nervy end after going down to nine men through injury in an exciting encounter at the Laithwaite Stadium.
Injuries late on to James Daley and Charlie Wakefield left the Cards, who had used up their substitutes, depleted. Wakefield battled on despite an hamstring pull, however the concussed Daley had to leave the pitch.
In a pulsating first half, from the penalty spot when Solomon Nwabuokei was clipped from behind after some sloppy Gateshead defending.
