DORKING WANDERERS head coach Mark Beard hailed a ‘brilliant effort’ by his side to survive with two games to spare.
Their first season in the National League ended with a win over already relegated Scunthorpe United at Meadowbank. A brace from Ryan Seager had the hosts in control with an hour played, before Danny Elliott set up a nervy finish with less than ten minutes left, but the home side held out to take all three points.
