INIH Effiong ended Dagenham & Redbridge’s run of nine games without a win by grabbing a stoppage-time winner against his former club Woking.
Having seen Josh Rees’ opener cancelled out by Reece Grego-Cox, it seemed the Daggers’ wait for a triumph would be extended despite Tunji Akinola’s second-half dismissal reducing the visitors to 10 men.
But Effiong pounced at the death to end Dagenham’s barren run and ensure they would climb out of the relegation zone, much to the delight of boss Ben Strevens.
