JOHN ASKEY celebrated a winning return to his old stomping ground as Hartlepool United secured an important three points over York City.
Goals from Jake Hastie, Tom Crawford and Nicky Featherstone put Pools in the driving seat before Tyler Cordner clawed back a late consolation for York. It was Askey’s first return to the LNER Community Stadium since his controversial exit from York almost a year ago, with supporters paying homage to their former boss.
