Dorking Wanderers shook off last weekend’s hammering at Gateshead by returning to winning ways with a hard-fought victory over Boreham Wood at Meadowbank.

DORKING Wanderers shook off last weekend’s hammering at Gateshead by returning to winning ways with a hard-fought victory over Boreham Wood at Meadowbank.
Alfie Rutherford capitalised clinically on a loose pass out from the back to score his first goal following return from long term injury lay-off, putting Wanderers ahead midway through the first half.
Luke Garrard’s side responded well and carved out a number of chances to equalise, getting back on terms 20 minutes from time through Tom Whelan’s header.
