Match Preview: Hartlepool United v Altrincham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Altrincham travel to Hartlepool United on late Tuesday in the National League.

The visitors come into the game on the back of a defeat in their last match, having lost to Aldershot Town 2-0 away.

Pools, meanwhile, won their last match, 3-1 against Boreham Wood, with their goals scored by Emmanuel Dieseruvwe, Luke Waterfall and Joe Grey.

With 57 goals in 31 games so far this season, Altrincham are scoring more than average in the league with 1.8 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 40 goals at a rate of 1.3 per game.

Hartlepool are also above average scorers, with 1.6 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.8 goals per game.

Robins are fifth in the table after 31 games, of which they have won 14 and drawn 10, earning 52 points.

United are six places behind the away team in 11th, with 13 wins and five draws putting them on 44 points.

Pools are in good form in the National League, with four wins and a draw from their last six games.

With four wins and two losses over that period, Altrincham’s form is slightly worse – they have taken 12 points from 18, compared to the hosts’ 13.
