Match Preview: Eastleigh v Bromley (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Eastleigh are on a poor run ahead of hosting Bromley at the Silverlake Stadium on Saturday, with just four points collected from their last six games.

The Spitfires have picked up one win and one draw in their last six National League games, and face a Ravens side whose last six games have brought one win and three draws.

Bromley are second in the table after 34 games, of which they have won 17 and drawn 11, earning 62 points.

Eastleigh are 11 places behind the Ravens in 13th, with 11 wins and nine draws putting them on 42 points.

With 59 goals in 34 games so far this season, the away side are scoring more than average in the league with 1.7 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 40 goals at a rate of 1.2 per game.

The Spitfires are also above average scorers, with 1.7 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 2.0 goals per game.

In the last 10 years, Eastleigh and Bromley have played each other on 19 occasions. Eastleigh won nine of them, Bromley five, and they drew five times.

On average, the Spitfires scored 1.5 goals and the Ravens 1.2 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on September 26, when Bromley won 1-0 at home.

Eastleigh’s last match was on Tuesday, a 5-2 win against Oxford City, with Paul Leon Miller McCallum (two), Jake Taylor, Ludwig Francillette and Scott Quigley getting the goals for the Spitfires.

Bromley drew 2-2 with Dagenham and Redbridge last time out, also on Tuesday, with Besart Topalloj and Michael Cheek on the scoresheet.
