Match Preview: Maidenhead United v Aldershot Town (Friday, 3pm)

Maidenhead United host Aldershot Town on Friday at the York Road Stadium in the National League.

In their last league match, on Saturday, Maidenhead lost to Rochdale 1-0 away.

Aldershot drew, 1-1 at home against Solihull Moors, with Cian Harries scoring their goals.

With 44 goals in 40 games so far this season, Maidenhead are the league’s third-lowest scorers with 1.1 goals per game. But they are conceding fewer than average too, letting in 58 goals at a rate of 1.4 per game.

Aldershot, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 1.7 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.8 goals per game.

With three wins and a draw over that period, the Shots’ form is better – they have taken 10 points from 18, compared to Maidenhead’s six.
