Match Preview: Oxford City v Oldham Athletic (Saturday, 3pm)

Oldham Athletic travel to the RAW Charging Stadium looking to secure a first win in nine National League games against Oxford City on Saturday.

The Latics have lost three and drawn five matches since they last earned three points – against Eastleigh on February 27.

They face an Oxford side who have won just one and drawn one over that time.

Oxford are bottom of the table after 43 games, of which they have won eight and drawn eight, earning 32 points.

Oldham are 14 places ahead of City in 10th, with 15 wins and 16 draws putting them on 61 points.

With 53 goals in 43 games so far this season, the hosts are scoring at below the league average rate with 1.2 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 90 goals at a rate of 2.1 per game.

Athletic are also below average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.3 goals per game.

Oxford’s last match was on April 1, a 3-1 loss against Barnet, with Harvey Greenslade getting the goal for Oxford.

Oldham drew 1-1 with Rochdale last time out, on April 6, with Hallam Hope on the scoresheet.
