Match Preview: Aldershot Town v Boreham Wood (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Struggling Boreham Wood face Aldershot Town away at the Electrical Services Stadium on Saturday looking to build on a win in their last league outing.

After securing all three points with a 4-0 victory over Wealdstone on April 6, the Wood sit 21st in the National League.

They travel to play an Aldershot side ninth in the standings, who lost in their last match, 2-0 against Hartlepool United.

With 56 goals in 43 games so far this season, Boreham Wood are scoring at below the league average rate with 1.3 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 73 goals at a rate of 1.7 per game.

Aldershot, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 1.6 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.8 goals per game.

Town are in disappointing form in the National League, with one win and two draws from their last six games.

With a win and five losses over that period, the Wood’s form is slightly worse – they have taken three points from 18, compared to the Shots’ five.
