Match Preview: Altrincham v Oxford City (Saturday, 12.15pm)

Altrincham face Oxford City on Saturday seeking to protect their long unbeaten run in the National League.

Robins are unbeaten in five, with four wins and one draw, ahead of the 12.15pm kick-off.

They face an Oxford team who have won just one and drawn one over the same number of games.

Oxford are bottom of the table after 45 games, of which they have won eight and drawn nine, earning 33 points.

Altrincham are 19 places ahead of City in fifth, with 21 wins and 11 draws putting them on 74 points.

With 83 goals in 45 games so far this season, Robins are scoring more than average in the league with 1.8 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 59 goals at a rate of 1.3 per game.

Altrincham’s last match was on Saturday, a 2-0 win against Ebbsfleet United, with Alex Newby and Regan Linney getting the goals for Robins.

Oxford lost 3-1 against Bromley last time out, on Tuesday, with Harvey Greenslade on the scoresheet.
