Byrd’s in hand for Shots again

AUSTRALIAN defender Lachlan Byrd has nestled in at Aldershot Town – 12 months later than first planned.
The 22-year-old trialled with the Shots last summer but the deal fell through and he ended up joining Welling United, where he played 50 games and picked up the club’s Player of the Season award.
Starting his career in Australia, Byrd moved to Scotland in 2023 and spent half a season with Airdrie in League One.
