THE Heed’s Halifax hoodoo continued in a game of three penalties played in a Tyneside monsoon on a surface that was barely playable for two thirds of the game.
Both sets of players deserve credit for battling through farcical conditions with the ball increasingly held up in surface water that made the game a lottery.
It made for an entertaining spectacle in the first half, the second more a more prosaic affair with chances limited as the pitch took its toll.
