Rochdale returned to winning ways thanks to Harvey Gilmour’s winner – but struggling Aldershot’s troubles continued.
Gilmour’s second-half strike was enough to earn the three points for Dale, who went into the game on the back of a 4-1 thrashing at York City. But they bounced back in style and climbed to second in the table.
However, it meant more misery for Aldershot, who have now lost six in a row in the league and remain mired in the relegation zone.
