Woking 1-2 Scunthorpe United: Iron show mettle as they end Cards National League unbeaten run

Neal Ardley admitted his Woking side weren’t “at the races from minute one” as their first defeat in 11 league games came at the expense of high-flying Scunthorpe United.

Neal Ardley admitted his Woking side weren’t “at the races from minute one” as their first defeat in 11 league games came at the expense of high-flying Scunthorpe United.
Goals in each half from Danny Whitehall and Declan Howe deemed Josh Osude’s late goal back for Woking as mere consolation as the Iron gave themselves a ten-point cushion inside the play-off places.
Ardley’s Woking have turned a corner in recent weeks, but the Cards boss admits his side were well beaten.
