GROVE CHARGE AFTER AGGRO AT AVRO

KIDSGROVE Athletic have been charged by the FA after players clashed with fans during an off-field fight that prompted a game against Avro to be abandoned.
An investigation by the governing body followed the Northern Premier League West Division fixture, halted early by the referee with six minutes remaining with hosts Avro leading 6-0 against nine-man Grove after two earlier red cards.
Footage shared across social media showed some of the visiting team stop playing after becoming aware of a confrontation behind one of the goals at the Vestacare Stadium in Oldham.
