BRAINTREE Town claimed a first home league win since November and, with it, three priceless points in their battle to avoid the drop in a lively encounter against an out-of-sorts Eastleigh at the Rare Breed Meat Co Stadium.
On the back of a long midweek trip to Truro, the Iron looked pumped up in the opening exchanges and nearly took a 16th-minute lead when Elliott Thorpe let rip with a superb 20-yard effort that had away keeper Nick Townsend stranded as he watched it flash past his near post.
