THIS was no Valentine’s Day massacre, but no love-in either for the long suffering Heed faithful as Gateshead became further entrenched at the bottom.
It was a third successive narrow defeat for the Tynesiders, who paid the price for a lethargic first half where Brackley were the sharper and more incisive side.
Well taken goals in the opening half hour from Zac Brown and Kian Harratt put the Saints firmly in the driving seat before on loan Heed sub Mark Beck struck late on.
