GATESHEAD’s impressive run that secured safety against all the odds came to an end in emphatic fashion as Woking eased to a three-goal victory on Tyneside.
It was a game too far for the Heed whose intensity levels dropped after being given five days off and manager Rob Elliot once again serving another touchline ban.
The manager of the month curse also struck, opposing manager Jermain Defoe still unbeaten after taking over at Woking last month.
