WEAVER ENSURES ALTY END ON A HIGH

THERE was a far less dramatic game to the south of Manchester than there was in the north as Altrincham finished their season with a walking-pace victory over Gateshead.
The lead created through two Lucas Weaver efforts might have been halved by an Ethan Moore tap-in just before the break.
But a breakaway finish in added-time from Liam Humbles was enough to give Neil Gibson’s side three points.
