WALTON & HERSHAM’S first-ever home game at Step 2 ended in defeat as Maidstone United produced a fine display.
Maidstone immediately clicked into gear and could have taken an early lead when Tom Leahy produced a superb curling effort with his left foot, only to see the ball strike the outside of Tommy Reid’s post.
