White-hot Will Harris returned to his native north-east in style to breathe a new lease of life into FC Halifax Town’s play-off chances.
The 25-year-old, from South Shields and a former Spennymoor and Gateshead striker, hit a brilliant winner at Victoria Park with eight minutes remaining to keep his side in the promotion mix.
And Harris’ 19th goal of the season knocked more stuffing out of Hartlepool’s own chances of climbing above the Shaymen and into the top seven.
