Emmanuel Dieseruvwe struck his 12th league goal of the season from the penalty spot to earn Rochdale victory from a hard-fought lunchtime clash at The Lawn.
The free-scoring Dale striker slotted home 20 minutes from time after he had been hauled down in the area by Callum Cockerill-Mollett.
Defender Kyron Gordon fired the visitors in front four minutes before Dieseruvwe’s spot-kick deemed Dan Creaney’s first goal back for the Lambs after returning on loan from Solihull Moors as mere consolation.
