New signings James Norwood and Dan Batty inspired Scunthorpe to a much-needed victory at home to fellow strugglers Hartlepool.
The experienced pair – who had been free agents since leaving Fleetwood Town and York City respectively at the end of last season.
Were only announced as short-term contract signings in the hours before kick-off, but their quality and nous inspired the Iron.
