Boring, terrible, dire – those were the words Adam Hinshelwood used to describe his York City side’s performance in last month’s 1-1 draw with Oldham Athletic at the LNER.

It was a game that halted York’s prolific five-match winning run and effectively ended their valiant pursuit of Barnet, who were crowned National League champions just five days later.
