CHORLEY leap-frogged Gateshead when Mike Calveley gave the Magpies victory in this promotion six-pointer.
The Heed ended 2021 with ten league wins in 11 games. But yesterday’s setback was their second on the spin, as they haven’t worn the tag of promotion favourites well.
The title race includes five clubs. And it’s easy to see why Chorley are one of them. Well organised and effective, they merited their victory against the league’s leading scorers.
