SOUTHPORT got their first win of the season in some style beating Bedford at Haig Avenue
The Sandgrounders got off to the perfect start taking the lead after just six minutes. Ted Lavelle gave Daniel Ogwuru a ball to chase down the line and the striker rounded his man before squaring to Luke Burgess who fired into the net.
Twenty minutes later Port doubled their lead, Walker’s loose clearance was chested down by Sol Solomon on the edge of the box before Burgess slotted into the far corner notching his second of the game.
