Craig Mahon has lauded top prospect Danny Ormerod after his wondergoal sent AFC Fylde to the top of the National League North table.
The 19-year-old striker lobbed Macclesfield goalkeeper Rogan Ravenhill with an outrageous strike from inside his own half to seal an impressive 4-1 win over the Silkmen in midweek.
It took the former Blackpool academy starlet’s tally to 28 goals for the season, leaving boss Mahon full of praise for the impact the teenage striker has had on the Coasters’ promotion push.
“Danny has the world at his feet,” Mahon told The NLP.
